The MID-WEEK SESSIONS - a series of nautical themed talks, presentations, and other stuff - is truly up and running at EABC.  Session number three is fast approaching on, 2nd October (see poster below).

Jackie Patton during her presentation at East Antrim Boat Club

The standard of speaker remains high, and was raised even higher when the County Down sportswoman and high-seas adventurer Jackie Patton took to the stage on 18th Sept last.  "Possibly the best event to date," said Commodore Steven Kirby.  Jackie presented her audience with a heartfelt, at times 'lump-in-the throat' moving presentation of her journey from a school girl failure (her grammar school teacher's appraisal) to British Olympic trialist,  to teacher to, Clipper yacht world race competitor, to the current chair of RYA-NI.

Remember ... 1st & 3rd Wednesday of Sept. Oct & Nov.

"We change tack" said MWS organiser Tom Jobling, "for the next Session when EABC favourite, LIAM KELLY takes to the stage - on 2nd Oct.

Once again, Liam will be challenging his audience when he asks; 'WHAT DID YOU DO, IN THE 60's?'. This popular Larne historian will no doubt draw a large audience again, so members, be warned, get down early for the soft seats, and a maybe wee libation too.  Bar opens at 7:00 - Liam will take to the stage at 7:30.
